Working together for an energy transition with solar films – Made in Germany Duisburg, Germany 17 October 2018 – Approximately 185 m² of Heliatek’s organic photovoltaic films were installed on the façade of a warehouse of the Duisburger Hafen AG in August. It is a sub-project within the cooperation agreement “Drehkreuz Energiewende”, which was established between the Duisburger Hafen AG and the energy company innogy in 2016. In a joint project with partner and investor ENGIE, the largest OPV project to date has been completed on a roof  La Rochelle, France – 15th November 2017 – Today ENGIE, Heliatek and the Departement of Charentes Maritimes officially inaugurated the world’s largest BiOPV installation on a roof. In the southwestern port of La Rochelle, France, 500 m² of Heliatek’s solar films were installed on the roof of the “Pierre Mendes France” middle school. Dresden, Germany – October 4th, 2017 – Lechwerke (LEW), located in the city of Augsburg, has extended their “Energy Façade” project by integrating HeliaFilm®, a solar film made by Heliatek. Over the next few years, the resulting test platform will be used to measure the output of the organic photovoltaic films in a direct comparison to conventional solar technology. Europe´s first solar concrete wall was inaugurated today at RECKLI’s headquarter in Herne, Germany. The façade, designed by RECKLI to fit the solar film from Heliatek (HeliaFilm®), represents a novel approach to BIOPV – Building Integrated Organic PV.
