The Fen Farm, near Conisholme, has been producing energy since April and now produces enough power to supply 13,223 homes a year.
The 20 wind turbines are run by green energy company Ecotricity.
Fen Farm is one of the newest wind farms in the UK and has been successfully providing energy to the national grid, despite original protest over its construction.
There are plans for new sites in the region as North East Lincolnshire’s landscape is ideal for harnessing the wind to produce energy.
Plans for a wind farm in North Cotes have been met with a mixed response from residents.
Several other wind farms are also planned for in and around the area./
These include four 80-metre high turbines on farmland in Sea Lane, North Cotes, in a pounds4.3-million project.
Novera Energy has been consulting with the public on these but residents have voiced dismay at the plans, enough to power 6,000 homes.
Locals are worried about the destructive impact on the roads and the effect on the scenery as well as problems for safety with the nearby airfield.
In East Yorkshire, plans to build a three-turbine wind farm near Withernsea, were rejected by East Riding Council in August. E.ON UK, will be considering an appeal.
Meanwhile, the planning committee decided to back plans for the huge 83 turbine Humber Gateway offshore wind farm, five miles off Spurn Point.
