All-Energy and the co-located Dcarbonise held at Glasgow’s SEC on 10 and 11 May broke all previous records with total attendance of 9,706 – a 27% increase on the 2022 figure.
“It was a fantastic two days we knew that registrations had broken all records in advance of the show, but finding out the total attendance was a fantastic moment. The exhibition halls were constantly busy, with the buzz of business being done and successful networking’ that has always been the hallmark of All-Energy, the UK’s largest renewable and low carbon energy and conference,” explained Jonathan Heastie, Portfolio Director, Energy & Marine at RX who own and organise the duo of events.
“The conference attracted packed halls right up to the final minutes of our two-day event; the Civic Reception and Giant Networking Evening, and features such as the Future Talent Hub and Meet the Developer all played their part in the success story.
“We got off to a flying start with the Rt Hon Humza Yousaf MSP, the new First Minister of Scotland, speaking in the opening plenary session, chaired by Keith Anderson, CEO of event sponsor and exhibitor ScottishPower, and touring the exhibition. Never before in All-Energy’s long history has there been so many TV, radio and print journalists clamouring for interview opportunities, marking another record set for the show! Three of his Ministers, Gillian Martin MSP, Minister for Energy; Kevin Stewart MSP, Minister for Transport; and Patrick Harvie MSP, Minister for Net Carbon Buildings, Active Travel and Tenants’ Rights also spoke in the wide-ranging conference.
“With its 250 exhibiting companies from 15 countries; close on 600 speakers in the phenomenal conference with its 11 conference streams and eight show floor theatres, the duo of shows provides a true, and free-to-attend, one-stop shop for all levels of learning about policy, strategy, new developments and innovative solutions. I would like to thank our exhibitors, Chairs and Speakers and sponsors for their support.
“This is the 22nd anniversary for All-Energy and the third edition of Dcarbonise.
All-Energy has spent two decades helping the UK to decarbonise its power supply, Dcarbonise has been introduced to ensure that private and public sector energy end-users gain the same access to advice and technology to assist them in their plans to decarbonise their buildings, businesses, and transportation.
“The conference attracted packed halls and stunning feedback. I have often described it as ‘world-class’ but this year our conference team excelled by opting for a conference comprised entirely of invited speakers speaking to specific highly topical and relevant themes. Our call for speakers for our show floor theatres attracted superb high-calibre quick fire presentations lifting both parts of our ‘learning programme’ to new heights.
“I have just opened an email that says quite simply: ”What a great event so a massive well done. It was my first All-Energy and I didn’t want it to end!” summing up how we as a team feel.”
Planning now starts for the 2024 edition of the co-located events that will once again be held at Glasgow’s SEC on 15 and 16 May 2024.
The 2023 event has Shepherd and Wedderburn as Headline Sponsor is Shepherd and Wedderburn; other sponsors include ScottishPower, Shell UK, Siemens Energy, Ventient Energy, im2 power UK and DWF.
