Natural Power expands due diligence team in North America

Dr Christine Bordonaro has been appointed to the role of Principal Engineer on the due diligence team at Natural Power in North America and will be supporting the due diligence activities for both wind and solar.

Christine Bordonaro brings 20 years of industry experience with 15 years in the solar industry. Most recently at DNV GL, she performed and managed technical due diligence reviews on commercial and utility scale solar projects across the US and Canada. She also conducted technical reviews and bankability studies for PV equipment, which consisted of factory audits across China and Europe.

Prior to joining DNV GL, she held positions at Evergreen Solar and Satcon, in a variety of product engineering and management roles, with particular expertise in PV modules and inverters.

Christine said: “I am thrilled to be joining the Natural Power team. I’m excited to be joining a growing company and I’m looking forward to supporting the team as we continue to expand our solar energy consulting services.”

Jim Adams, President of Natural Power North America, added: “We’re delighted to welcome Christine to the team. In the past 12 months alone, we have delivered 1.5GW of solar due diligence and owner’s engineering work. This strategic hire ensures we continue to expand our North American solar presence, and further strengthens the team’s experience that has been built up over recent years.”

Natural Power has continued to expand across the US with offices in New York and Seattle. Most recently the business expanded the Seattle office to accommodate its growing number of employees, and moved to a new, larger facility at 2701 1st Ave Suite 440, Seattle WA 98121. The business provides asset management services on over 5 GW of renewable energy projects, equivalent to the top three US wind owners by capacity (according to AWEA 2015 Market Report figures). Its approach to ‘total asset management’ on operational projects includes a range of services for owners and financiers alike, including local site management and balance of plant services, advanced performance engineering analysis, remote monitoring services, and operational reporting and analysis.
