On November 11, 2025, Aira, a Swedish clean energy technology company, announced the launch of its new integrated home energy system, which includes the Aira Power Hub and Aira Power Store. This system is designed to significantly reduce energy costs for households, with claims of cutting monthly energy bills by over 90%. The launch is seen as a pivotal step in Europe’s transition towards affordable and sustainable energy solutions amidst rising cost-of-living pressures.

The Aira Power Hub functions as an inverter, while the Aira Power Store serves as a battery that stores solar energy and low-cost electricity from the grid. Together, these products create a cohesive system that works in conjunction with solar panels and Aira’s existing Heat Pump technology. This integrated approach aims to streamline the traditionally fragmented home energy market, allowing users to generate, store, and manage clean energy more efficiently.

Peter Prem, CEO of Aira, emphasized the importance of this launch, stating that it empowers households to take control of their energy needs while contributing to broader decarbonization efforts. He noted that the system not only helps reduce energy bills but also enhances energy independence, which is crucial for the economic resilience and social well-being of European households.

The Aira Power Store is designed to bank solar-generated energy, while the Power Hub intelligently directs energy flow throughout the home. This includes managing energy distribution to various devices and appliances based on real-time needs, which is facilitated by Aira’s proprietary technology, Aira Intelligence. This system learns household energy usage patterns and incorporates features such as predictive solar generation and smart tariff integration.

Kaj af Kleen, Aira’s Chief Product and Technology Officer, highlighted that the system offers a fully managed experience, allowing users to benefit from energy savings without needing to actively manage their energy consumption. The Aira Home Energy app provides users with a comprehensive overview of their energy generation, storage, and usage, enabling them to track long-term performance and savings.

Aira’s vertically integrated business model allows the company to oversee every aspect of the product lifecycle, from design to installation and ongoing support. This approach aims to provide a seamless experience for consumers, who can access the system through flexible monthly payment plans and long-term guarantees of up to 15 years.

The new home energy system will be available for installation starting in January 2026 in the UK and Italy, with plans to expand into Germany later that year. Aira’s initiative is positioned as a significant contribution to Europe’s efforts to transition away from fossil fuels and towards a more sustainable energy future, aligning with the growing demand for renewable energy solutions in residential settings.
