29 – 31 May 2012
Welcome to World Bioenergy 29 – 31 May 2012!
World Bioenergy is the world’s leading bioenergy event for decision makers and researchers in bioenergy. By showing you the good examples, letting you talk to operators of commercial plants, take part in our international business forum or update yourself on the latest research, World Bioenergy provides the tools you need. We will show you what works and help you find qualified, suitable partners as well as suppliers and customers.
Building on previous successes World Pellets 2012 is also an integrated part of World Bioenergy, which will give you excellent opportunities to network across borders. It will feature the whole production chain – raw materials, production, and end use – as well as certification, standardisation, trade and market development.
World Bioenergy is featuring:
International trade fair
Cutting edge conference (in English)
Interesting study visits, incl pre and post conference tours
International trade fair
At World Bioenergy 2010 some 200 companies exhibited their products and services at the fair. In addition 880 prescheduled business meetings were arranged. The World Bioenergy trade fair is focusing on the biomass-to-energy sector with both a traditional indoor exhibition and one large outdoor area, where bioenergy machinery is demonstrated in action.
The exhibitors are leading suppliers of products, technology and services to the entire bioenergy sector. There are also trade associations, embassies and government bodies, who want to get into contact with potential business partners. The trade fair has grown in size each year since the start, and this year will be no exception. Welcome to book your stand at the exhibition!
Six main themes at the World Bioenergy 2012 conference
The 2012 edition of World Bioenergy is taking shape. You will be able to follow six different themes during the three days. Or pin-point sessions of your interest across the themes.
World Pellets 2012A three day “conference in the conference” covering all aspects of pellets, from raw material potentials, via innovative pellets production systems to trade and market development.
What policy and targets for renewable energy to create a demand for sustainable modern bioenergy? Where are the future markets and which will be the most important feedstocks.
This theme focuses on technical development in the whole bioenergy chain, from harvesting of forest residues to combustion technologies and co-firing.
How will the transport sector evolve within the coming years? Which are the sustainable fuels of tomorrow, how rapid will the market development be and when will we see a majority of green cars and trucks on the market?
Biorefineries with co-production of liquid, gaseous and solid biofuels with power, heat and chemicals for efficient and optimal use of biomass is the way forward. Strategies, business models, and technological choices are numerous.
Can we achieve a sustainable market growth for modern bioenergy? How can we support and verify sustainability? The last day of World Bioenergy is dedicated to sustainability. World Bioenergy 2012 closes with a high profile panel debate, focusing on the best way forward for modern sustainable bioenergy.
