Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu announced a four percent Dearness Allowance (DA) for employees of the Himachal Pradesh Road Transport Corporation (HRTC) on Saturday, bringing their benefits in line with those of state government employees.
The Chief Minister noted that this increase will be included in the Diwali gift package for HRTC staff.
Recognizing the significant financial support provided to HRTC, which receives an annual grant exceeding Rs 700 crore, the Chief Minister stressed the importance of improving the corporation’s operational efficiency. He stated, “HRTC must implement changes in its working system to overcome its losses.
