USDA Invests $63 Million to Support Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Projects

The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) on August 7 announced $63 million in loans and grants for 264 renewable energy and energy efficiency projects nationwide. The USDA is supporting the projects through its Rural Energy for America Program (REAP).

For example, Blue Sky Poultry, Inc., of Bainbridge, Georgia, has been selected for a $16,000 grant to install a solar array on the roof of the poultry houses. And Stokes Farms of Chatfield, Minnesota, is receiving a nearly $20,000 grant to install …read more
