Bioeconomy For Change (B4C) has outlined a series of upcoming events and initiatives designed to foster discussions and advancements in the fields of biotechnology and bioeconomy. Notable events include a Tech Day focused on sustainable food systems scheduled for January 22, 2026, which will explore the role of microbiomes and biotechnologies in achieving sustainability.
In addition, B4C will hold its Extraordinary General Assembly on December 10, 2025, providing members with an opportunity to engage in organizational matters. A series of webinars will also take place, including one on January 9, 2026, titled ‘The Members’ Forum,’ which invites members to voice their opinions and ideas. Another webinar on January 16, 2026, will discuss the application of microorganisms and biosolutions in agricultural performance.
Furthermore, B4C is set to launch the ACDV Community on January 23, 2026, aimed at fostering collaboration among stakeholders in the bioeconomy sector.
Partnering events include the ‘Accelerate in the Netherlands’ program running from September 16 to December 31, 2025, and an ideation workshop on biomass valorization on December 11, 2025. The first regional bioeconomy conference will take place on December 15, 2025, where the regional action plan will be unveiled.
In recent news, B4C participated in a public consultation organized by the European Commission regarding the future of the EU Biotech Act, contributing its vision for the future of biotechnology in Europe. Additionally, a recent webinar focused on the aging and performance maintenance of bio-based materials has been summarized for members.
These initiatives reflect B4C’s commitment to advancing the bioeconomy and fostering sustainable practices within the industry, as it continues to engage with its members and the broader community.
