Innovative new mounting system revolutionizes installation of Trina Solar PV panels.
Zurich, 23rd September 2011
An innovative new solution, that revolutionises the mounting of Trina Solar PV panels was unveiled in the UK at Elex 2011 during a product launch jointly hosted by Trina Solar and Sundog Energy, it was announced today. The new ‘Trinamount’ mounting system will significantly reduce installation costs by simplifying and speeding up installation.
Trina Solar is a leading integrated manufacturer of solar photovoltaic (PV) products from the production of ingots, wafers and cells to the assembly of PV modules and Sundog Energy one of the UK’s major distributors and installers of Solar PV systems.
Attracting interest from a large number of installers and electricians, the launch included an introductory welcome from Martin Cotterell, Founder and Technical Director of Sundog Energy, followed by a PV Clinic session where attendees could address their questions on solar PV installations.
Jean Philippe Petit, Product Marketing Manager of Trina Solar unveiled the ‘Trinamount’ system and a series of hands-on practical sessions followed, where attendees were able to try out the new mounting solution for themselves to discover just how quick and easy it was to mount a PV module using the new system.
Bill Roberts, Managing Director of Sundog Energy said: “Trina Solar modules and Trinamount I, II & III are key elements of the quality product portfolio that Sundog Energy uses in its own projects and supplies to our installer customers. As solar PV installers since 1995 we know what works, and how to match the very best components and we are keen to provide independent installers with the winning combination of great products, highly competitive prices and expert technical backup – everything they need to allow them to concentrate on sales and installations.”
The launch was part of a road-show series that Trina Solar will be hosting across Europe to introduce the Trinamount solution directly to PV distributors and installers.
Trinamount I, II & III – One principle, many different roof types Trina Solar is developing products that expand upon current PV module offerings to include other systemrelated components. By combining the Company’s high performing modules with the innovative Trinamount mounting solutions, overall system costs are expected to be considerably reduced, increasing the price competitiveness of solar energy compared to traditional energy sources. Trinamount hardware is compatible with a wide variety of roof types. Trinamount I is designed for tile roofs and is compatible with Trina Solar’s TSM-PC05 module. Trinamount II is designed for pitched roofs, and comes with mounting hardware for composition shingle, standing seam, corrugated and trapezoidal metal. Trinamount III is designed for use on flat roofs, especially designed for commercial PV systems. All solutions follow the common goal of reducing system costs through an innovative approach to PV mounting methodologies.
