It has been a while since we last wrote, but we are pleased to report that the turbines have begun generating electricity.
Since all 11 eleven turbines were assembled Vestas the turbine suppliers have been carrying out commissioning tests on the turbines, this is why you may have noticed that they have been starting and stopping. The main test is a 240 hour reliability test. This is where each turbine must generate for 240 hours non-stop without any problems for it to be considered complete and ready to generate. There are just 3 turbines left to complete their reliability test.
Vattenfall Generation are also carrying out final inspections on the turbines before they take over the turbines from Vestas, which is expected to happen next month.
The access tracks and crane pads are now reinstated and general tidying of the site will continue until the end of October.
