CRSES Director, Professor J.L. van Niekerk had this to say about the course,

“Everyone with an interest in the conversion of wave energy to electrical or other useful forms of energy is encouraged to attend this course. The course should give the required background to engineers, managers, and investors to take advantage of the current developments in renewable energy in order to establish themselves in the industry.”

Garrad Hassan brings over 24 years experience and is one of the leading international renewable energy consultancies.

Dr Joao Cruz, Head of Garrad Hassan’s Wave Energy team and editor of the text book Ocean Wave Energy – Current Status and Future Perspectives will present the short course on Thursday 17 September 2009 at the Skilpadvlei Conference Centre near Stellenbosch.
