June 2, 2014. Wildpoldsried / Munich. Sonnenbatterie GmbH will present the Sonnenbatterie eco at Intersolar Europe in Munich, introducing a new generation of products that set new standards. Sonnenbatterie continues to rely on the safe and efficient lithium-iron-phosphate technology as well as on proven, high-quality electronic components. In addition, the eco series provides a more compact wall-mounted design, extended warranty coverage and highly attractive pricing.

”The prices of our new generation of products are absolutely unrivaled; even the smallest design is economical. In combination with a photovoltaic system, an operator can benefit from up to 80% self-consumption at constant production costs, which are already significantly below current electricity prices. With the Sonnenbatterie eco intelligent and technologically advanced solar energy storage systems are finally affordable and economical for everyone”, explains Christoph Ostermann, CEO of Sonnenbatterie GmbH, and continues: “But the possibility to offer our new generation of products with an attractive pricing is not a result of lowering the usual high quality or safety that is expected of our products. On the contrary, we have consequently concentrated on the most relevant features for customers and we realize economies of scale due to higher numbers of units. Moreover, a higher degree of standardization in the new product generation leads to significantly lower production costs. Finally, the high quality standard of our products is reflected in our 10 year product warrant on battery cells.”

The basic version of the Sonnenbatterie eco has a capacity of 4.5 kWh. The system is wall-mounted, now even easier to install and can be expanded modularly up to a maximum storage capacity of 13.5 kWh. As before, the Sonnenbatterie eco is, is a ready-to-use and intelligent complete system, which retains all of the previous, proven features and functions. This includes, among other things, intelligent energy management, online access via an app or the internet and pre-configured connections for additional applications, such as back-up power, heat pumps or CHP.

Like all other production series, the Sonnenbatterie eco is based on a multi-level safety concept. All used battery cells and –modules are tested according to the international standard UN 38.3 and are additionally certified by TÜV. Redundant and TÜV tested safety mechanisms for overcharging and short circuit ensure a safe operation of the systems at any given time.

The new generation of products will officially be presented during Intersolar on Wednesday, June 4, 2014, at the Sonnenbatterie GmbH booth (B1.110).
