London, September 1, 2011 – SANYO Component Europe GmbH (SANYO) has today announced the launch of its international solar installer initiative in the UK, the SANYO Solar Premium Installer Programme.
The campaign is designed as the first dedicated support network of its kind for PV installers in the United Kingdom – providing them with sales leads from their region, direct communication with SANYO on the latest technologies and their own customisable micro site to help promote their business.
To qualify for the SANYO Solar Premium Installer Programme accreditation, installers need to have installed 10 photovoltaic (PV) systems with SANYO solar modules. As well as providing the business with independent recognition, the programme in turn offers added peace of mind for the end user looking to install PV systems in their home or office.
Ms. Marlene Muehlbauer, Marketing spokesperson at SANYO Component Europe commented:
“The market for PV systems in the UK is growing dramatically, and the industry is evolving at a rapid pace. As most installers have diversified from being electricians, they face the significant challenge of keeping up with new technology and methods as well as the routes to order – the SANYO Solar Premium Installer Programme helps across all of those issues.”
Direct marketing support from a PV manufacturer for installers is very rare in the UK, and this programme intends to change that. The direct connection ensures installers are not only aware of new technologies, but also that they are able to develop and articulate the best solution for clients according to their unique needs.
Dedicated PV installers can access the registration process at sanyosolarinstaller.com, which also provides detailed information on the benefits of membership. During the registration process, installers must prove that they have already installed 10 PV systems with SANYO solar modules by showing the corresponding Microgeneration Certification Scheme[1] (MCS) certificates, at which point they will be accepted onto the programme.
Approved SANYO Solar Premium Installers are then provided with sales leads directly through the SANYO solar website at www.sanyo-solar.eu/en, where end users are able to look for approved installers in their area. Each installer will also be given a dedicated micro site that can be customised with logos, images and references.
The UK programme follows successful pilot schemes in Germany and Italy, where the solar market is more mature. Ms. Muehlbauer continued, “The feedback from PV installers in Germany and Italy has been very positive, with particular appreciation of the direct access to technicians and sales. The number of leads generated has also exceeded expectations, reflecting both an obvious benefit for installers to get involved and the need from consumers for a resource like this.”
In addition to the constant communication and sales support, SANYO Solar Premium Installers will be offered training sessions up to twice a year that allow them to refine not only their technical knowledge on photovoltaic science and products, but also offer tailored sales arguments for different types of customers.
Key benefits of the SANYO Solar Premium Installer Programme include:
– Regular SANYO updates, including product information and important company news
– Technical support on all your SANYO queries over the phone and via email
– Sales leads via the SANYO solar website
– A dedicated, customisable micro site to use in marketing and promotional activity
– Third party accreditation
– Regular technical and sales training sessions
– Branding of installers to reach better recognition from end users
[1] The Microgeneration Certification Scheme is an internationally recognised quality assurance scheme which demonstrates the quality and reliability of approved products by satisfying rigorous and tested standards in the UK.
