Leading Solar Inverter Manufacturer Showcases New Product Portfolio and Complementary Intelligent Functions in Hall 1, Booth L10.
Metzingen/Germany, October, 14, 2013 – REFUsol, an Advanced Energy company and leader in solar inverter technology, is exhibiting at RENEXPO Poland, taking place October 16-17, 2013 in Warsaw, Poland. REFUsol/Advanced Energy will display its proven three-phase string inverter series, showcasing a recent design upgrade as well as the large scale inverter REFUsol 333K featuring higher AC- and DC-voltages resulting in lower Levelized Cost of Energy (LCOE).
One of the highlights of the REFUsol/Advanced Energy showcase is the upgrade of its proven three-phase string inverter series REFUsol 008K – 020K. The reliable inverters are upgraded to full power classes with lower weight and therefore provide a high power density and easier installation.
The inverters are ideal for rooftop and carport systems from 8 kilowatts (kW) to megawatt-sized parks. Even at low irradiation, they achieve an efficiency of up to 98.2 percent, maximizing economic return. As a result of these high efficiency levels, convection cooling is all that is needed to dissipate the heat. The integrated data-logger can send all important operating data to the REFUlog internet portal. For visualization and evaluation purposes, data can be transferred via the standard cable or an optional wireless connection using the new REFUconnect radio module.
With 333 kW of nominal power and the patented UltraEta® circuit topology, the solar inverter REFUsol 333K reaches a peak efficiency of over 98.4 percent, which allows for optimised energy conversion and usage. The REFUsol 333K features a higher AC-voltage of 690 volts (V), which is the established standard voltage level in industrial networks and wind power plants. It also features a higher DC-voltage of up to 1500 V. Due to this high input voltage, longer strings can be realized, which means less loss with the same power lowering installation costs and LCOE. Consequently, this concept of higher voltages increases the efficiency of the whole photovoltaic (PV) system, increasing the financial return to the owner.
Additionally, the company’s single-phase string ranging in size from 1.8 kW to 4.2 kW will be on display. These new string inverters are particularly suitable for small rooftop systems or for expanding larger systems (for example, in case of shading). Even at low irradiation, the inverters achieve an efficiency of up to 98.6 percent.
The REFUsol booth is located in hall 1, booth L10.
