Wind and industrial gear manufacturer and service provider Moventas is establishing a subsidiary in Brazil.
Reinforcing its local presence is part of the company´s strategy of bringing its services closer to the customer.
Moventas is branching out its sales operations in South America, where industrial gears markets are boosted by new pulp production and a growing mining industry. The continent´s wind power markets are also picking up.
Moventas already has an install base of some 3,000 gears in South America. The subsidiary that is now being set up in Brazil promotes the sales of industrial as well as wind gears and related services in the entire area.
– This is another significant strategic step towards our customers by developing our network, says Jukka Jäämaa, CEO & President of Moventas.
The Brazilian office will be in charge of coordinating Moventas sales operations in all of South America. Moventas is also going to strengthen its local presence on the continent outside of Brazil.
Moventas has also made a strategic decision to establish its own service office in Brazil during next year.
