Hutchinson Engineering was chosen as Runner-up in the Business Growth Award and will now attend a prestigious celebration at the Grand Connaught Rooms in London in January.
The firm was recognised for its tremendous growth in the last three years, as turnover has increased by 92% from £5.9 million (2009), £7.9 million (2010) to £11.3 million (2011).
Dean Drinkwater, Managing Director, commented: “We are delighted to be recognised as one of the regional winners of the North West EEF Awards.
“There has been tremendous growth in terms of turnover, and also profits, staff numbers and in-house investment in plant and machinery, totalling over £900,000.”
Hutchinson Engineering’s main specialism is in the manufacture of wind turbine structures and mobile telephone communication masts.
The number of telecom structures supplied per year has increased from 352 (2009), 440 (2010), to 766 (2011).
And the wind turbine structure business has increased from a turnover of £0.67 million in 2009 to £2.82 million in 2011. An increase of 320%.
Dean and his management team will now attend a National Gala Dinner, organised by the Engineering Employers Federation, on January 31, to celebrate the accolade.
