KGAL GmbH & Co. KG has announced the successful sale of a Nordic wind portfolio with a total capacity of 73 megawatts (MW) to Enordic Evergreen, the Nordic independent power producer (IPP) platform of the Ardian Clean Energy Evergreen Fund. This transaction encompasses three operational wind farms located in Finland and Sweden, specifically the Silovuori wind farm in Northern Finland, which has a capacity of 26 MW, and the Anneberg (11 MW) and Sötterfällan (36 MW) wind farms in Southern Sweden.

### Background of the Transaction

The sale was executed as part of a single mandate for a supply company, with KGAL having acquired the Silovuori wind farm in 2015, followed by the Anneberg and Sötterfällan projects in late 2017 during their construction phases. KGAL played a crucial role in overseeing the completion of these wind farms, managing the operational aspects, and developing a marketing strategy for the electricity generated.

Stefan Schachner, Portfolio Manager for Infrastructure at KGAL, highlighted the importance of the high quality of the wind farms, the extensive operational experience of KGAL, and the strong local partnerships as key factors contributing to the success of this investment. He stated, “With the sale to Enordic Evergreen, we are consistently implementing our long-term investment strategy in collaboration with the investor and successfully concluding the investment.”

### Strategic Importance of the Sale

This transaction not only marks the completion of KGAL’s investment cycle for these three wind farms but also underscores the growing interest in renewable energy assets within the Nordic region. The sale to Enordic Evergreen aligns with the increasing demand for sustainable energy solutions and reflects a broader trend in the energy market towards the acquisition of operational renewable energy projects.

KGAL was supported in this transaction by Danske Bank, which provided M&A advisory services, as well as legal counsel from Vinge in Sweden and Dittmar & Indrenius in Finland. This collaboration ensured a smooth transaction process, facilitating the transfer of ownership and operational responsibilities.
