Wallerfing, 6 June 2011 – Ideematec Deutschland GmbH has concluded agreements with a globally active US system integrator and an Indian steel corporation for the secured purchase of 65,000 safeTrack ST 32 tracking systems until 2014.

Ideematec is rigorously pursuing its strategic focus on opening up new foreign markets with the conclusion of an agreement with an internationally active operator of solar farms from the USA. This covers the purchase of 50,000 trackers during the next four years. A project in India with a volume of 10 MW is already being realised. A further 33 MW are planned for solar farms in the southern and eastern USA.

A contract was also concluded to supply 15,000 safeTrack ST 32 trackers by 2014 for the rapidly emerging Indian Market. The contractual partner here is one of the largest Indian suppliers for the steel processing industry, who is considerably expanding his renewable energies business segment.

The tracking systems will be produced from the end of 2011 in at least two locations in India and at a further site in the USA.

The safeTrack systems, which track the path of the sun along a single axis, are particularly suited for deployment on difficult terrain.

Their compact and low profile ensures unobstructed sunlight free of shading. The highly adaptable form of the module table used for the safeTrack ST 32 allows optimum utilisation of the available space. It also enables safeTrack to resist extreme wind loads, as has been proven by wind tests where it has withstood wind speeds of up to 185 km/h. This makes safeTrack particularly suitable for projects in climatically difficult regions in India and the USA.
