100 kW Kits will be sold via the company’s installer network in France.
Industry and commerce in France now have the opportunity to buy a Q CELLS full service PV Kit solution. The largest European PV provider, Hanwha Q CELLS, today announced to have started selling the 100 kWp Kit solution to French PV installers in October 2014. Through the kit Hanwha Q CELLS again expands its portfolio as PV solutions provider. “Having already sold the first 100 kWp kits to installers in France, Hanwha Q CELLS has proven its ability to successfully introduce this kind of PV product to the French market,” said Philippe Pflieger, Hanwha Q CELLS’ Head of Sales France.
Even the Q.ANTUM Technology is used – a cell concept Q CELLS has invented and commercialized based on the sophisticated balancing of the whole cell architecture to maximize the energy yield. According to independent researchers, Q.ANTUM Technology holds the world efficiency records for polycrystalline solar cells (19.5%) and 60 cell modules (18.5%)*.The 100 kWp kit for commercial and small industrial roofs includes more than 360 Q CELLS modules with power classes of up to 280 watt-peak (Wp), inverters and a mounting system allowing modules’ installation in portrait or landscape. Multiple orientation options are also available. Monitoring, main AC switch and equipment like ground cable and connectors are also part of the offer. Over one average day in France, the system will produce around 325 kilowatt-hours (kWh) of electricity; over a full year a total of 118.000 kWh will be generated and fed into the grid. The German-headquartered company announced already last June that it should be able to provide a “full system” C&I kit to France’s installers in Q4 2014.
Positive business outlook for France
“France is one of Hanwha Q CELLS’ focus markets in Europe. We see a good Q4 business in country’s market segments and assume a promising business in the French PV market, especially for the year to come,” said Philippe Pflieger. “We have entered into long-term partnerships with medium-sized and large-scale installers in the whole country since spring 2014. The PV provider offers financial stability and an on-site service throughout the entire country. Regarding the French installers and utilities segment the company has a double-digit market share. “Within this pricewise challenging environment we see ourselves well positioned to maintain our ground through our competitive products.”
Milestone after milestone
After opening its first office in the country at the beginning of this year the company has been strengthening its position on France’s PV market during the last months. Hanwha Q CELLS and the company Martifer Solar have teamed up in a 30 MW module supply deal and for an 11MW solar farm in the south of France. Having received the carbon footprint certificate for the French PV market this summer, Hanwha Q CELLS is also bidding in public tenders for PV projects in France. At the beginning of this year, Hanwha Q CELLS again received the Certisolis “Made in EU” certificate for manufacturing solar cells and solar modules comprised entirely of European components. The certificate demonstrates that European customers can rely on Hanwha Q CELLS to engineer and manufacture high quality products in Germany and within the European Union. Moreover, in an independent study among high-volume installers in France, Germany, the UK and Italy, the Q CELLS brand generally achieved the best results in comparison to other manufacturers (“Top Brand PV Europe 2014” says market researcher EuPD Research).
