A leading green energy company is taking its energy efficiency messages around the country in a ten-strong fleet of hybrid vehicles.
Wirral-based Renewable Solutions’ fleet of Honda hybrids has clocked up half a million miles since they first hit the road three years ago.
The vehicles – which include the CR-Z, Jazz and Insight models – can be seen regularly criss-crossing the UK as the company carries out domestic and commercial renewable energy installations.
Mike Lowes, Managing Director of Renewable Solutions, said: “Honda hybrids are a perfect fit for our business with the efficiency of battery power and the many environmental and financial benefits this brings.
“The fleet is worked very hard, every day, for both short and long journeys, but they just keep going without skipping a beat!
“Our business is about helping customers to significantly reduce their energy costs and environmental impact so it is important that we do the same ourselves as much as possible.”
The fleet has been built up since 2010 with all cars bought from Blackburn-based Greenacre Honda. The first vehicle to be purchased, a Honda CR-Z, has just clocked up its 100,000th mile.
Renewable Solutions has its head office in Bromborough and employs more than 40 full-time staff. The company, which was founded in 2008, provides domestic and commercial customers with a comprehensive range of renewable energy solutions including turbines, solar PV, solar thermal, heat pumps and biomass.
