Gaia-Wind expands its UK Sales and Distribution network to capitalise on the demand created by the current two year window of a tenfold Capital Allowance Increase for renewables purchase.
Leading UK small wind turbine manufacturer Gaia-Wind today announced a major expansion of their UK sales and distribution network which will:
• Hugely extend reach across the UK
• Improve levels of customer service; and
• Expand customer choice for potential turbine owners
Gaia-Wind has exited from an underperforming exclusive arrangement with Myriad CEG (Wind) in England and transitioned their Direct Sales model in Scotland to bring about this massive expansion of their reach. The move more than doubles the sales, distribution and customer service resources backing the UK made turbines.
The company – listed as the fastest growing private firm in Scotland and the eighth fastest in the UK – is looking to reap the rewards of a much wider reaching network with:
• Many more experienced people on the ground
• More direct customer contacts in every region across the UK, and the
• Opportunity to build on local knowledge, contacts and installation capacity.
The move will enable Gaia-Wind to capitalise on the demand created by the current two year window of a tenfold Capital Allowance Increase for renewables purchase. Farms and rural businesses will see an increase in the annual investment allowance (AIA) giving 100% tax relief on investments from £25,000 to £250,000 for the next two years.
Sales and Marketing Director John Gallacher said:
“Gaia-Wind has grown exponentially over the last few years and we are now at a crucial point: Our new sales and distribution model will enable us to back up our excellent product with the level of service and ‘boots on the ground’ needed to keep pace with that level of growth.
He also reassured current owners who have purchased turbines through e.g. Myriad CEG saying:
“Owners who have purchased their turbines through previous selling agents will of course want to check any direct contractual issues with them but their Gaia-Wind Parts Warranty will not be affected.”
