Eco Expo Asia 2011, Hong Kong’s only trade fair dedicated to the environmental protection industry, will be held from 26-29 October 2011 at AsiaWorld-Expo, Hong Kong.
The 6th edition of the fair takes the theme “Green Tech for a Low-carbon Economy”, reflecting the ongoing quest by companies and governments for technologies and commercial products which can help meet the challenges posed by climate change. The fair will cover scopes on Air Quality, Energy Efficiency & Energy, Waste Management & Recycling and Eco-friendly Products. In addition to the Green Transportation Zone and Green Building Zone, four new themed zones for e-waste management, green financing, new materials and testing, inspection & certification will be set up to meet the rising needs in the region.
Held concurrently, the annual Eco Asia Conference allows attendees to connect with specialists from around the world and gain insights into the latest market information and industry developments. It is one of the most significant international forums on environmental protection in Asia.
Eco Expo Asia has proven itself a leading international trade platform for environmental industry in the past five years. With the continuous support from the Environment Bureau of the Hong Kong government, the fair attains strong participation of Chinese mainland governments on both city and provincial levels. The fair delivers a professional platform for international exhibitors to enter the Chinese mainland’s fast-growing environmental market.
Covering an exhibition area of 9,950 sqm, the 2010 edition gathered 266 exhibitors from 19 countries and regions and received 8,011 visitors from 62 countries and regions. Among these 2,775 were from overseas. There were 10 national and regional pavilions from France, Japan, Macau, the UK, the US plus Foshan, Guangdong, Jiangmen and Kunming from Chinese mainland. Over 44 buying missions representing 644 companies and 922 delegates visited the fair.
