Exhibitors coming from over 15 countries and regions are participating in Eco Expo Asia, taking place 26 – 29 October 2011 at AsiaWorld-Expo in Hong Kong.
The region’s leading trade show for environmental products, technologies and solutions, is retaining strong support from various consulates, governments and international chambers. Among them are the USA’s Center for International Trade Development, UK Trade & Investment, the government of Kawasaki City from Japan and the Consulate General of the Kingdom of the Netherlands which are organising pavilions and National Booth.
USA Pavilion
For the second consecutive year, the Center for International Trade Development will be having a pavilion at Eco Expo Asia. Buyers will be able to source a wide selection of technologies and solutions including green building design services, energy inverters, energy measurement and monitoring equipment, industrial and residential waste composite machinery as well as electric drive systems for commercial vehicles.
Ms Kerry Bonner, Project Manager of Center for International Trade Development, expects the pavilion to be a popular drawcard for suppliers seeking access to Asia’s environmental markets. She commented: “Our debut pavilion at Eco Expo Asia 2010 was very successful as exhibitors were able to promote their business interests in the region. Given the need and demand for environmental solutions domestically and internationally, we are looking for another strong presence this year.”
Leading companies confirmed to take part in the USA Pavilion include Arquitectonica, DENT Instruments Inc, Global Energy Resource USA Inc, M-Tech International Corp, One-Cycle Control Inc and US Hybrid Corporation.
UK Pavilion
Returning for a third time with a pavilion is the UK Trade & Investment. Ms Philomena Chen, Head of Asia Pacific Development at the UK Trade & Investment said: “Our exhibitors continue to be impressed by the business opportunities available at the show from across the region, which is the reason we keep returning. British companies are at the forefront in producing and developing a diverse range of environmental services and products, many of which will be presented in our pavilion at Eco Expo Asia 2011.”
Showcasing a range of innovative green technologies for waste management, indoor air quality, renewable energy and green building, the UK Pavilion will be a popular attraction with buyers. Exhibiting in the pavilion are AKJ Estates Ltd t/a International Recycling Corporation, Applied Energy Products Ltd, Better Generation, Wireless Energy Management Systems International Ltd and Young SET Ambassadors.
Japan Pavilion
Japan has been leading the way in devising and applying solutions to tackle environmental challenges. In particular, Kawasaki City is renowned for its cutting-edge environmental technology. This year, the government of Kawasaki City and other Japanese suppliers have confirmed to participate in the Japan Pavilion. Exhibits on display will include wastewater treatment technology, waste-to-energy machinery and oil recycling equipment by companies such as Catarise Corp, JFE Engineering Corporation, Kawasaki Business Incubation Center, Kowa Emtech Limited, Ryowa International Co Ltd, Shicoh Co Ltd Subaru Enterprise Co Ltd and Urban Company,.
Netherlands National Booth
The Consulate General of the Kingdom of the Netherlands is organising a National Booth at Eco Expo Asia for a second consecutive year. Mr Robert Schuddeboom, Consul-General of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Hong Kong and Macao said: “At the show we will be introducing the most advanced zero carbon emission building technologies, eco-friendly plastics and green roof products from the Netherlands.”
Dutch companies exhibiting at the booth include Dathevis Industrial Holding BV, GreenGran BN (HK) Ltd and Sempergreen China.
In addition, there will be pavilion from Macau as well as pavilions representing Foshan, Guangzhou and Shenzhen from the Chinese mainland. This, together with major group participation from local industrial organisations, the show will be a one-stop sourcing platform for environmental technologies.
Eco Expo Asia is jointly organised by Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd and the Hong Kong Trade Development Council. It is co-organised by the Environment Bureau of the Government of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. The four-day fair is open to the public on the final day.
