The Energy Department announced on September 30 that manufacturers in its Better Buildings, Better Plants Program (Better Plants) have saved an estimated $2.4 billion in cumulative energy costs over the last five years.
U.S. manufacturers spend more than $200 billion each year to power their manufacturing facilities.
