Beles Hydro Electric Power Generation Project has started Wednesday generating 115 MW with its single turbine as part of the test trial.
The Ethiopia Electric Power Corporation Chief Executive Officer Mihret Debebe said the commencement of the project would help to address power shortage in the country.
