The agreement establishes BioEnergy Technologies as the sole representative for AATs biogas technology in 44 states in the United States.
SUMTER, S.C. Austrian-based AAT Abwasser (AAT), a worldwide leader in biogas technologies and a member of the Schelling Group, has announced the formal alliance of its AAT Biogas division with BioEnergy Technologies LLC of Sumter, S.C. The agreement establishes BioEnergy Technologies as the sole representative for AATs biogas technology in 44 states in the United States.
“This agreement positions our companies for the expected growth in the renewable biomass energy market in the United States, said Greg A. Thompson, CEO of BioEnergy Technologies. AAT, with more than 26 years of experience in the biogas industry, has been a leader, with a proven track record in the development of anaerobic digestion technology. We look forward to the expertise and technical assistance they will provide to us as BioEnergy Technologies continues to build and expand.
AAT is pleased to partner with BioEnergy Technologies, said Christian Kloser, managing director, AAT America. They will provide total project delivery along with operations and maintenance capability as we enter the U.S. market.
We have more than 100 biogas plants in operation throughout Europe and, most recently, in the U.S., when a new plant came on line this past summer in Oregon, Kloser said. We feel confident and well positioned with BioEnergy as our partner and believe that our entrée into the U.S. will prove to be as successful as it has been in Europe.
