Chinese Log Imports Have Trended Upward in Early 2016 with Australia Increasing Their Market Share the Most, Reports the Wood Resource Quarterly

Increased demand for wood products and declining log inventories in China has resulted in higher importation of logs to China in the 1Q/16, reports the Wood Resource Quarterly. Australia has increased its shipments almost three-fold in three years and currently, ten percent of all softwood logs unloaded in Chinese ports are from Australia. [PR.com]
