Munich, 3 March 2016: For the fifth time in a row, BayWa r.e. has been awarded the title ‘Top PV Supplier Wholesale 2016’ in Germany. In addition, BayWa r.e. has once again received the seal of approval for its business activities in the national markets of not only the United Kingdom and Italy, but this time, the Dutch market was included as well. On top of this, the company has been designated ‘Top PV Supplier Europe’ for the first time – the only wholesaler in Europe to receive this accolade to date. In bestowing these awards, EuPD Research confirms that installers and end customers are extremely satisfied with the PV wholesaler in terms of customer focus and sales.

The honour coincides with the 25-year anniversary of the commercial PV business, which was founded in 1991 as MHH Solartechnik GmbH and was taken over by BayWa r.e. in 2010. The market and opinion research institute EuPD Research has been surveying PV installers and end customers across Europe for over ten years and uses this information to create an independent assessment of PV wholesalers. Apart from the breadth and depth of a company’s portfolio, aspects of customer satisfaction and loyalty are also considered as part of the survey. As a result, the independent ‘Top PV Supplier’ seal of approval can be seen as a genuine aid to orientation and a feature that can help installers and end customers alike to identify a wholesaler that shares their own high quality aspirations.
