What cookies are
Cookies are small files saved on your device when you visit a website. Some are needed for the website to work; others help us understand how it is used or show adverts. We only use non-essential cookies if you agree.
Your choices
When you first visit we ask which cookies you accept. You can change your mind at any time in Cookie settings, which is also linked at the bottom of every page. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but parts of the website (such as signing in) will not work without essential cookies.
Cookies we use
| Type | Provider and cookies | Purpose | Needs consent |
|---|---|---|---|
| Essential | WoREA (WordPress: wordpress_logged_in_*, wordpress_sec_*, wordpress_test_cookie) | Keep you signed in, keep your account secure and run checkout. | No |
| Essential | WoREA (worea_consent) | Remembers your cookie choices for six months. | No |
| Essential | Google (Sign in with Google) | Only if you sign in with Google: lets Google confirm who you are. | No |
| Essential | Stripe (on Stripe’s checkout page) | Processes payments securely and prevents fraud. | No |
| Analytics | Google Analytics (_ga, _ga_*) | Counts visits and shows us how the website is used. Kept for up to two years. | Yes |
| Analytics | StatCounter (is_unique, sc_is_visitor_unique) | Visitor statistics. | Yes |
| Advertising | Google AdSense (__gads, __gpi, __eoi and Google advertising cookies) | Shows and measures adverts, and limits how often you see them. | Yes |
If you do not accept analytics or advertising cookies, Google Analytics and Google AdSense set no cookies on your device. Google may still receive basic, cookie-free signals (for example, that a page was viewed) which it uses to estimate overall visitor numbers, and you may see limited, non-personalised adverts.
Your language choice is kept in your browser’s local storage, not a cookie, and is never sent to us.
