Ecopetrol receives third biofuels patent in Colombia

Ecopetrol S.A. (BVC: Ecopetrol, NYSE: EC; TSX: ECP) reports that the Colombian Superintendence of Industry and Trade granted it a patent for a technology that makes it possible generate biofuels by refining vegetable oils and heavy oil fractions (such as gas oils) in a single process.
