An engineering graduate with Pilkington, then into marketing with structured cabling, data and telecoms involving stints of work in Finland and the USA. Jane has enjoyed a varied career in the communications, energy and built environment sectors spanning 35 years. She formed her own award-winning marketing consultancy Marketing PRojects in Chester in 1995 and in London in 2000 and has supported hundreds of small companies across the UK with their plans for growth including the larger IBM, Apple and US based GE in Europe. Locally, she has helped grow Chester Food & Drink Festival from 2001 to 2008, launched Chester Festival of Romance 2004 and 2005 and Supported Chester Performs from the Gateway theatre’s closure in 2006 to 2008, which grew to be Storyhouse. More recently she continues work as Project Director for Green Expo 2023. During lockdown she went back to University online to undertake postgraduate study in social entrepreneurship. Jane is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (2005), an affiliate member of the Royal Institute of British Architects (2018) and an active member of Chester Civic Trust (2018).
