Energy trading company Danske Commodities has signed a three-year deal to buy all of the power from Polenergia and Equinor’s Bałtyk 2 and Bałtyk 3 wind farms and trade it on Poland’s wholesale electricity market. It will be responsible for trading and balancing the power from the wind farms – which are due to have a combined capacity of 1,440MW – under a newly signed three-year deal. The Rudrapur Municipal Corporation (RMC) has established a state-of-the-art waste management plant covering four acres, with an investment of Rs 16.8 crore, to tackle the growing garbage disposal issues in the Fazalpur Mehraula area of Udham Singh Nagar district. Uruguay is set to export 300 tons of biofuels produced from corn oil to The Netherlands, marking a significant milestone for Alcoholes del Uruguay (ALUR). This shipment represents the first batch of biodiesel produced from corn oil at ALUR’s distillery in the Capurro neighbourhood of Montevideo, reports MercoPress. The biofuel is particularly valued in Europe due to its environmental benefits. In a major step toward greener air travel, HSBC Hong Kong, Cathay Pacific, and EcoCeres announced a partnership to promote the use of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) in Hong Kong, reports Biodiesel Magazine. Statkraft has no bidding partners for Norway’s upcoming Utsira Nord floating offshore wind tender after Ocean Winds joined Mainstream Renewable Power in pulling out of the companies’ development consortium. The Norwegian state power group, Ocean Winds and Mainstream’s parent company, Aker Offshore Wind, had formed a bidding group[1] for Utsira Nord in 2021. Apex Clean Energy is to supply clean electricity to a consortium of universities, hospitals and other non-profit organisations in the Boston area in a deal the renewables developers claims is the first of its kind. The company has signed two virtual power purchase agreements with the Consortium for Climate Solutions (CCS) covering the purchase of an estimated 1.3TWh of renewable electricity annually by 2026.
