Portland-based Vestas, a subsidiary of Danish wind energy company Vestas A/S, will add 44 megawatts of electric generation capacity to the Wild Horse Wind and Solar Facility in Ellensburg, just north of Yakima. Owned by Seattle-based Puget Sound Energy, the facility already has 229 installed megawatts.
The Wild Horse turbines are expected to be commissioned in the second half of 2009. The order includes the supply and commissioning of the wind turbines and a five-year service
