Single-axis ISOTRACKER solar trackers to construct Mexico’s first photovoltaic solar power pilot plant.

ISOFOTON is to supply a grand total of 4,172 ISF-240 solar panels, along with the necessary single-axis ISOTRACKER solar trackers to construct Mexico’s first photovoltaic solar power pilot plant, which will be located in the municipality of Mulegé close to the city of Santa Rosalía in Baja California Sur (Mexico).
Following a tender process, the company MICROM, S.A. was awarded the contract for the plant, while ISOFOTON will help with the construction by delivering the technology, solar modules and trackers needed to design, plan, construct and develop the facility.
The project named“Pilot 1 MW Photovoltaic Solar Power Plant in Santa Rosalía” will entail an investment of 78 million Mexican pesos and marks the first photovoltaic plant featuring tracking technology to be rolled out by the Mexican Federal Electricity Board (Comisión Federal de Electricidad) in the Republic of Mexico. Its construction stems from the energy policy of the Federal Government, encompassing the 2007-2012 National Development Plan, which is unflinchingly committed to renewable energies, particularly photovoltaic solar energy.
