As the world’s largest trade fair for solar technology, Intersolar reflects the dynamic development taking place in the photovoltaics and solar thermal sectors. A 31% increase in exhibitor numbers and growth of 37% in exhibition space used at Intersolar 2009 sends out a clear message: The industry is growing and becoming ever more international.
With 50% of exhibitors coming from abroad, Intersolar 2009 once again consolidated its position as the world’s leading trade fair. The fact that Intersolar is represented in many growing solar markets by its own agencies means that it profits from the international growth of the sector.
With a total of 1,414 exhibitors from 40 countries, more companies than ever before were represented at Intersolar 2009. For 2010, an increase to 1,500 exhibitors is expected. The exhibition area will expand from 104,000 sqm (2009) to 120,000 sqm.
The high visitor numbers fair that interest in the leading trade fair and its comprehensive conference and fringe program is undiminished: In total, 58,627 visitors form 145 countries were present at the New Munich Trade Fair Center to gather information concerning the latest trends and developments in photovoltaics and solar thermal technology.
International representative offices in Canada, China & Hongkong, India, Italy, Korea, Taiwan, Spain, Czech Republic & Slovakia and the USA extend the international service and facilitate the attendance for exhibitors and visitors worldwide. The market for machines, raw materials and services in photovoltaics production is growing extremely rapidly. At Intersolar Europe, an entire exhibition hall will, for the second time, be reserved for this area.
