Enerqos spa, Italy’s leading turnkey supplier of large-scale solar plants and HFV, a company specialised in solar power investment, have signed an agreement for the construction of a 5MWp AutorizzazioneUnica solar power station in Soleto located in the Italian province of Lecce.
The investment totalling approximately 15 million Euros will allow the installation to be completed and connected to the national grid by the end of the year.
Enerqos will be in charge of all construction work and Operations & Maintenance (O&M) activities from its Management and Control centre in Pisa. More than 200 Italian professionals from both the local area and from further afield will be involved in the various stages of the project.
HFV CEO, Dr Diego Percopo, declared, “This installation represents a significant investment initiative for the Italian photovoltaic sector. We are extremely pleased to be working with a partner of Enerqos’ calibre in terms of both construction and Operations and Maintenance activities. It is a very important achievement for our company, which, despite being relatively young, is already managing sites of almost 16MWp that are currently under construction. It is our objective to build and run 100MWp of solar installations in the years to come.”
“We are extremely proud to be able to collaborate with HFV on this new solar farm project and it confirms our position as a first class partner in the realisation of complex large-scale photovoltaic projects. We are confident that the contract signed today is only the first step in a long and profitable collaboration with HFV,” added Enerqos CEO, Mauro Marcucci.
Once connected, the installation will produce 7 million kilowatt-hours of clean energy each year, the equivalent of the annual energy needs of almost 2400 households, and a reduction in carbon emissions of almost 3000 tonnes.
